Submission: Religious Educational Institutions and Anti-Discrimination Laws

 

 

 

 

QUT Centre for Justice member, and STEL (School of Teacher Education and Leadership) academic, A/Prof Lisa van Leent, led a submission to the Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) with STEL colleagues, Dr Michelle Jeffries and Dr Naomi Barnes, and Dr Steph Jowett, School of Law.

The ALRC was asked by the Government to undertake an Inquiry into Religious Educational Institutions and Anti-Discrimination Laws. The Report was tabled in the Commonwealth Parliament on March 22 by the Attorney General and published online: Maximising the Realisation of Human Rights: Religious Educational Institutions and Anti-Discrimination Laws. The report references the STEL led submission 9 times with one direct reference.
