CJRC PhD student Tien Hoang Le has been notified that he has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy for his thesis on Human trafficking in Vietnam: Preventing crime and protecting victims through interagency cooperation. Le’s Principal Supervisor was Associate Professor Molly Dragiewicz and his Associate Supervisor was Professor Kerry Carrington.

Associate Professor Molly Dragiewicz from Crime and Justice Research Centre at Queensland University of Technology will speak at the II European Conference on Domestic Violence in Porto, Portugal on 8 September 2017.

Earlier this year, CJRC researcher and senior lecturer Dr Cassandra Cross from the School of Justice, Faculty of Law, presented at the 2017 TEDxQUT event held at QUT Gardens Point campus. 

The call for papers is now open for the Australian Sociological Association’s (TASA) 2017 Conference. The theme of this year’s conference is “Belonging in a Mobile World” and will take place at the University of Western Australia (UWA) from 27 -30 November.
