Two of QUT’s open access journals are in the top five Law journals published in Australia: International Journal for Crime Justice and Social Democracy (School of Justice) and Law, Technology and Humans (School of Law)
There are only 17 Australian Law journals ranked in 2024.
In terms of Australian open access publications – the International Journal of Crime, Justice and Social Democracy ranks 1st and Law, Technology and Humans ranks 3rd Internationally, International Journal of Crime, Justice and Social Democracy is in the top 50 open access Law journals.
Both these QUT-supported journals have no article processing charges (APCs), are licenced using Creative Commons, indexed widely in legal databases (including AustLII) and are included in the only global index of OA journals – DOAJ.
