Media: Rowena Maguire – Australia and the LA Fires

QUT Centre for Justice Director, Professor Rowena Maguire, has provided commentary to a media piece on “‘Real possibility’:  the bushfire risk to Aussie cities.”  The article discusses Australia’s ability to respond to an LA-style fire event.

Professor Maguire discusses ‘shared responsibility’ between governments and community volunteers during times of disaster – when government “simply can’t completely manage the response to disaster alone.”
