Impact: Victim/survivor views of sexual offender reintegration

QUT Centre for Justice members, Professor Kelly Richards, Associate Professor Jodi Death, Associate Professor Chris Emzin and Dr Michael Chataway presented their research on Victim/Survivor views of sexual offender reintegration as part of the Courageous Conversations Towards Collective Action against Child Sexual Abuse Symposium. The Symposium, held in Hobart, was hosted by Tasmania’s Sexual Assault Support Service and Laurel House, and aimed to inform the development of Tasmania’s strategy to prevent and respond to child sexual abuse.

This research was funded via a Criminology Research Grant and involved interviewing victims and survivors of sexual violence about their views of perpetrator interventions. The research especially focused on the views of male victims and survivors, who are often absent from research.  This research is in partnership with Bravehearts Foundation.
