Special Issue: Social Alternatives – Access to Justice in an Age of Uncertainty

The special edition of ‘Social Alternatives‘ titled ‘Access to Justice in an Age of Uncertainly’ has been released.

This special edition was edited by Professor Christine Morley and Professor Kerry Carrington, both of QUT Centre for Justice.

Social Alternatives is an independent, quarterly refereed journal which aims to promote public debate, commentary and dialogue about contemporary social, political, economic and environmental issues.   The Editorial Comments suggest that collectively, there has been a deepening of the existing social problems and divisions and an emergence of new injustices and inequalities since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.  All of the papers in this series demonstrate that accessing justice in current contexts is increasingly complex and difficult.  Importantly, they also demonstrate the practices of critique and resistance that are necessary to protect access to justice in the age of uncertainty.

Congratulations to the Editors, and all contributing authors, for such a relevant and important edition.  Congratulations also to QUT Centre for Justice member, Heather Fraser, on the cover illustrations.
