CJRC researcher discusses issues of digital security on Future Tense

CJRC researcher and lecturer Dr Monique Mann from the School of Justice, Faculty of Law, has recently spoken to ABC’s Future Tense program about issues of digital security.

This discussion draws on Dr Mann’s recent work on privacy within the digital space

Program summary: For all the sophistication we humans have shown in developing new technological systems, we’ve got a surprisingly poor record when it comes to making them secure. In this episode we look at the role artificial intelligence might play in fending off hackers. We hear about a new and alarming report on the safety of e-health records. And we’ll deal with an uncomfortable truth – that major technology providers continue to troll our private email for profit.
