Adjunct Professor Walter DeKeseredy from West Virginia University has recently contributed to a number of regional forums held around the country regarding the prevention of men’s violence against women.
Hosted by White Ribbon Australia, Professor DeKeseredy and other international and local experts have been able to share their knowledge and expertise on violence against women with people in various capitals and regional centres. The forums aimed to:
- Enable delegates to engage in conversation and exchange strategies for action.
- Provide a local learning environment to explore community action.
- Encourage dialogue between community groups, services, academics, government, and interested others on primary prevention strategies.
- Showcase national and international programs working to change men’s attitudes and behaviours that lead to violence against women.
