
Call for Special Edition of QUT Centre for Justice Briefing Paper Series
QUT Centre for Justice, in conjunction with Solomon Islands Australia Partnership, University of South Pacific (USP) and Solomon Islands National University (SINU) will be releasing a Briefing Paper Series on Cross Disciplinary Insights on Pacific Security and Justice in July 2026. his special edition will explore Australia’s relationship as a good neighbour to the Pacific, and will seek to build collaboration in the following research areas:
- Education
- Security
- Climate/Sustainability
- Health
- Gender
We invite contributions from academics working in any of these areas.
QUT Centre for Justice Briefing Papers must include a QUT author however we are seeking to publish collaborative papers that include both a QUT and Pacific Island researcher. If you have a topic you are interested to write about, and would like to find a Pacific or QUT partner, please contact either Professor Rowena Maguire, Director, QUT Centre for Justice (r.maguire@qut.edu.au) or Associate Professor Danielle Watson, Program Leader, Global Justice, QUT Centre for Justice (danielle.watson@qut.edu.au) .
We welcome original research, theoretical perspectives, case studies and practitioner insights. Contributions from disciplines such as law, social sciences, business, public health, education and creative industries are encouraged. Papers exploring new ideas and approaches to Justice in the Pacific are particularly welcome.
QUT Centre for Justice Briefing Papers are short, accessible accounts of issues related to justice (2000 word limit exclusive of references). Papers may be based on previously published work or present new research and ideas. Previously, Briefing Papers have been published on a range of justice-related issues including social justice, criminal justice, transport justice, environmental and energy justice, gender-based violence, exploitative work, and consumer protection. Papers will be edited by QUT Centre for Justice Editorial team as well as co-editors:
