Cyberscams & Disability – Protecting Our Community
National Scams Awareness Week Event
QUT Centre for Justice invites you to join us during National Scams Awareness Week for an essential event focused on cyberscams targeting people with disabilities. Discover common tactics used by offenders, learn how to recognise warning signs, and gain practical advice on protecting yourself and loved ones online.
Hear from our expert panel, Dr Kate Gould (Clinical Neuropsychologist, Monash University), Kathy Sundstrom (National Manager of Outreach & Engagement, iDcare), and Angela Bliss (Behavioural Scientist, National Australia Bank), moderated by our very own Professor Cassandra Cross (Centre for Justice, QUT).
Whether you’re living with a disability, a carer, or an ally, this session provides vital knowledge to help build safer online habits and support those in recovery who have been affected by scams.
