Moreton Bay Regional Libraries are running a Women’s Day Event on Tuesday 8 March 2022.
This year’s theme calls on us to imagine a gender–equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
Join us as we celebrate inspiring women in our community with a panel discussion led by Madonna King. Together we’ll explore what the 2022 theme #BreakTheBias means to them. Meet our panelists:
Madonna King is an award–winning journalist, author, and leader of public debate. She has written in–depth about politics, education, health, crime, and business and has moderated panels across Australia.

She believes helping children develop skills in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics will prepare them for a future where they can make a difference.
Professor Melissa Bull is the director of QUT’s Centre of Justice. Her main areas of research include drug regulation and policing diversity, with her current research projects examining harm reduction and drug law reform.
