Policy Toolkits: United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)

QUT Centre for Justice Director, Professor Rowena Maguire and research team including  Associate Professor Bree Hurst (QUT), Professor Alice Payne (RMIT) and Paige Street (RMIT) have released resources as part of the project, One UNEP Textile Project:  Policy Case Studies with  the United Nations Environment Programme  (UNEP).

These two policy toolboxes have been designed to support the transition to a sustainable and circular textile value chain. The first toolbox  provides policymakers from high textile production countries with policy interventions to address the environmental and social impacts of textile manufacturing. The second toolbox shares policy examples to drive circularity, responsible use, and end-of-life management for textiles in high consumption countries. Both toolboxes are now live on UNEP’s circularity platformand will be updated as new policies and insights emerge.

Keep an eye out next year for more about this project next year.
