This summer, QUT School of Justice unit Environmental Crime and Climate Change (JSB255) featured the inaugural Environmental Justice Writing Prize. The prize was awarded for the best submissions received for the final assessment in the unit (a 2,000-word case study on a problem in Environmental Justice).
Four students were shortlisted for the prize: Ella Battams; Emily Denison; Deborah Johnson; and Teisha Russell.
The shortlisted entries were judged by Head of School Professor John Scott and JSB255 Unit Co-ordinator Dr Dean Biron.
The winning entries chosen were those of Emily Denison and Teisha Russell.
You can read Emily’s paper here and Teisha’s paper here.
Congratulations to all involved.
