Earlier today, the School of Justice hosted the Annual Honours Colloquium event where the 2016 Honours cohort presented their research projects to peers and staff members. The research projects discussed covered fascinating topics and were all presented at an exceptionally high standard.
Presentations included:
- “The Sexualisation of Violence in Video Games” – by Wesson Jewell
- “Common Characteristics and Offender Behaviours in Murder by Falling” by Tiffany Sutherland
- “The Politicisation of the Genocide Label: A Discourse Analysis of Genocide Rhetoric by the UN Security Council Permanent Five” by Michelle Ringrose
- “How the Australian News Media Frames Domestic Violence Homcides” by Isabel Fraser
- “Impairment of the Mind and the Right to Give Sexual Consent: A Critical Discourse Analysis of the Application of Section 216 of the Criminal Code (QLD)” by Jason Dunn
