Join us on Wednesday, 18 August at 12pm for Antonius Sumarwan’s PhD Final Seminar on “How does Credit Unions’ Accountability Affect their Performance and Mission Achievement – Multiple-case Studies of Credit Unions in Indonesia.”
This research investigates factors influencing accountability practices and their effects, specifically on performance and mission achievement. Developing a skeletal inputs-processes-outputs enriched by concepts from strong structuration theory (Stones, 2005) and employing a multiple-case study approach, this study examined six credit unions operating in a lightly regulated context, Indonesia. The findings show that the credit unions’ accountability practices were predominantly influenced by their conjuncturally specific internal structures, with implication on their levels of agency.
