27 MAY | Do people still give when times are tough?
In the midst of a global pandemic, what did QUT do to plan a Giving Day to engage donors and supporters? The goal is to rally 2,021 donors in 24 hours!
This month’s Tea & Buns conversation will be with Ben Nicoll, QUT’s Development Officer, for a straight talk about what QUT has learnt from this year’s QUT Giving Day held on May 20th. Ben will give us a candid insight into what it took to rally support for QUT’s world-changing projects and student scholarships.
Ben Nicoll is the Development Officer, Annual giving at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Ben leads a comprehensive annual giving program, including QUT Giving Day, to achieve financial goals for university fundraising priorities. The Giving Day team was awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in 2019 for building a culture of philanthropy through innovative communications, events and a novel giving platform on QUT’s Giving Day 2019. Previously, he managed Habitat for Humanity’s donor communications, corporate and foundation relations, and annual giving initiatives.
Please join Dr Ruth Knight and Ben Nicoll for May’s Tea and Buns Community of Practice.
