Be supported to become a community leader and make important contributions to our society whilst studying fundraising, philanthropy and nonprofit studies.
Aimed at inspiring excellence in fundraising and philanthropy, the Margaret Scott Scholarship will cover 100% of domestic tuition fees, or the relevant percentage for more than one outstanding candidate, for students studying a Graduate Certificate of Business (Philanthropy and Nonprofit) OR Master of Business (Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies) (core units of the Masters only). This scholarship is available thanks to the generosity of alumnus, Margaret Scott MBA M.Bus (Res) (Philanthropy&NpSt) QUT FFIA CFRE AFAIM.
Margaret has a love of fundraising and philanthropy with nearly 30 years of fundraising leadership experience and achievement. In 2014, Margaret received the highest accolade for her efforts: The Arthur Venn Australian Fundraiser for the Year Award. Margaret says ‘I love fundraising and philanthropy and helping charities to do better at fundraising. My mantra encouraging philanthropy and managing fundraising.’
Margaret’s goal in donating this scholarship is to inspire a future student to excel in his/her fundraising/philanthropy career. It may be applicable to someone working in fundraising as a career or to someone involved in fundraising in some other way (e.g. as a board member active in this area).
