The Weekend List.

Untitled-1Suffering from bordem-ism? Scratching your head and trying to figure out, “WHAT ON EARTH CAN I DO ON THE WEEKEND?!!”.

As we all know, the weekend for everyone is that mini break at the end of the week, where we can just rewind, relax and let loose. Even though is it only for two days, I always try to make use of those two little days of the week by either catching up my Zzz’s to visiting an museum.

Here are my top 5 things I like to do around Brisbane during the weekend. I hope it helps and inspire you as to what you could do during your weekend:

An Astounding Town Across the Border

During the Ekka holiday, I had the privilege to visit one of the most stunning and popular places near Brisbane, Byron Bay. Even though Byron Bay is located at NSW, it is only about 1.5-2 hours drive from Brisbane. When you visit Brisbane or currently in Brisbane but haven’t visited Byron Bay yet, YOU MUST!

A Timeline of Experiences: Accomplishments at QUT, so far.

It is now Week 5 into my last semester!

I have come to realise how much I have accomplished within QUT for the past 3 years. Time does fly fast at QUT. One day you remember your first day of lectures at a 101 Creative Subject, feeling excited and about to start a new university life. Then the next day you realise that you are in your last semester, about to graduate.

I am happy to say that, I would have never accomplished this much for myself at QUT compared to when I was in High school or other studies. And when I mean accomplished, I mean from activities to volunteering that happens around QUT.

I just wanted to share with everyone my overall experiences with activity clubs and volunteering at university life of an international student; and a timeline of over the years on what I have done so far: Read more

Hidden treasures around Mt.Coot-tha: Enoggera Reservoir hiking trail

It was just three days before the new semester could begin and I was just sitting at home planning the one final adventure prior to immersing myself into busy uni life. There were so many options available that my mind was in a complete state of confusion! Not knowing which trail to choose I got in touch with a friend who recommended the Enoggera Reservoir trail.

Now the next question that dawned on us was when would it be the right time to go? Morning? Afternoon or Evening? Again, working out the “math”, we decided to set off on an early morning hike.

Waking up early in the morning at 5am, we headed off towards the trail- braving the cold winter chill. As we arrived at our destination freezing, we wondered was this a wise decision? As we started walking along the trail contemplating, the scenery that unfolded made us well feel that we had done the right thing.
