The 23 Scholarly Communication Things Pressbook, developed by QUT Library, launches today!
This resource is for anyone with an interest in learning more about the scholarly communication process and is intended as a doorway to the scholarly publishing lifecycle, rather than as a how-to guide. This resource is also structured to reflect the scholarly publishing process from pre-conception to post publication, including measuring the success or impact of that research output through publication metrics in their various guises.
As a self-paced resource, you can choose whether to start at the beginning and work your way through or select just the parts that interest you. Each chapter is broken into three parts – Getting Started, Learn More and Challenge Me – with activities, exercises, and things to consider dispersed throughout. This resource also features multiple interactive elements created using H5P, ranging from quizzes to mini slide sets.
The layout of this resource and the interactive tasks are designed to suit readers who are either new to a topic and wish to expand on it or those that may already be familiar with the concepts discussed and want to test their knowledge. No matter your experience, there is something for everyone in this resource.
