Curiocity Brisbane 2021 including the World Science Festival

“Let your imagination roam free! Curiocity Brisbane is a 17-day celebration of science, art & tech, where new possibilities play and big ideas collide. From 12 to 28 March 2021, explore a packed program of interactive installations and events including World Science Festival Brisbane. Watch as the city around you is transformed into a world of discovery.”

Curocity Brisbane has interactive digital and physical installations around the city and South Bank including one at the Cube at Gardens Point, others down near the Goodwill Bridge (this one sounds like lots of fun if you like to dance) and more through the Botanical Gardens. Perfect for a study break, lunch break or as part of your journey home from work (for the QUT GP folk) or a fun activity for the weekend.

There are free Curious Conversations you can attend (in person), hosted by Benjamin Law (Australian author and journalist) who is chatting with scientists, engineers, creators and makers on things such as time machines, recycling, design, ecosystems, theatre and more. Registrations are essential and available here.

The World Science Festival runs from the 24th– 28th March and has over 120 events scheduled throughout the 4 days. Some are free and some have a cost, some are online and some are in person events. Find details of events and ticketing here.

Curious to do some exploring a little closer to campus? QUT Library has lots of information on science, technology, the environment, the arts and more. Maybe we’ll see your installation next year.
