Any day is a good day to ask, R U OK?

QUT is partnering with Australia’s R U OK? Foundation to host a number of activities on Thursday 10 September to increase awareness of mental health challenges . Find out more details here.

The R U OK? Foundation’s mission is  “to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with people around them and support anyone struggling with life.”

They have resources on their website to help you start the conversation.

If you’re struggling, you don’t have to wait for someone to ask, “are you OK?” If you want someone to talk to, help is available through a variety of services at QUT including  dedicated counselling services for students and international students.  Full details are here [https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/qut/news?mode=VIEW&id=2161#events]. Be brave and courageous and ask for help.

QUT Library has resources on positive mental health and wellbeing. Search the library’s resources if you want to find out more.

If you need someone to confide in you can call Beyond Blue (if you’re in Australia) on 1300 22 4636 or Lifeline on 13 11 14. I pray that you get the help you need.
