With the mid-year break here, why not put down your textbooks and enjoy reading a good book or two?

QUT Library has a wide variety of books to choose from, no matter what you’re studying (whether it’s social work, creative writing or finance), you’ll find books to suit your interests and inspire you. Here are some suggestions to get you started…

Available in print from Kelvin Grove Library.
Soon to be made into a movie by Reese Witherspoon. This best-selling debut novel is a funny and uplifting story of Eleanor’s journey, from isolation and a damaged past. Beautifully written and hard to put down.

My grandmother asked me to tell you she’s sorry (2015) by Fredrik Backman
Available in print from Kelvin Grove Library.
When her grandmother passes away, seven year old Elsa goes on an adventure delivering letters to people her grandmother wants to apologise to, while learning the truth about her grandmother’s fairytales. This book comes from the author of A man called Ove.

Available from the library as an ebook.
An easy-to-read book on personal money management. This guide offers simple and helpful advice on banking, insurance, super, reducing debts, growing wealth, home buying and retirement, from an Australian perspective.
