Go Gentle Australia and VADANZ (Voluntary Assisted Dying Australia and New Zealand) have partnered with the Australian Centre for Health Law Research (ACHLR) to host the second Trans-Tasman Voluntary Assisted Dying Conference. The conference will be held in Brisbane on 28-29 October 2024.
The theme for this year’s conference is Access and Equity and will have a research focus. The conference will bring together VAD clinicians and policy makers for what promises to be an informative and thought-provoking two days. Conference registrations will open soon.
Call for Abstracts
Health professionals, providers, policymakers and researchers working in Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) are invited to submit an abstract for presentation at the 2024 conference.
We invite abstracts focused on the theme for this year’s conference (Access and Equity).
The Abstract format is a 10-minute oral presentation.
If you have an alternative area of interest or presentation format, we encourage you to submit an abstract and make the case for your preferred topic or format in your application. This will be considered by the Scientific Committee.
Depending on the number of submissions, other formats may subsequently be offered.
Submitted abstracts should include:
- a working title (10 words max);
- an abstract (structured or unstructured) or research summary (200 words); and
- your contact details.
Please submit your abstracts by 30 May 2024. The Scientific Committee will review abstracts and will contact you if successful.
