Law, Literature and Humanities Association of Australasia 2023 Conference – submissions closing soon

Deus Ex Machina – Law – Technology – Humanities

Proposals for papers to be presented at Deus Ex Machina will close 2 September 2023.

This conference is a multidisciplinary collective endeavour focused on building, dreaming and working towards better futures through bringing the creativity, wisdom and critique of the humanities to law and technology. Supported by Law, Literature and Humanities Association of Australasia, the Human Technology Law Centre and the Law, Technology and Humans journal at the Queensland University of Technology School of Law, the conference will be a crucible for diverse perspectives and approaches to the broadest conceptions of law and technology.

As well, the Conference will feature a special film screening of Twenty Minutes With The Devil (by Luis Gómez Romero & Desmond Manderson), followed by a discussion about the crisis of justice and politics in the modern world.

The Law, Literature and Humanities Association of Australasia is offering bursaries for graduate research students to attend the Graduate Research workshop of 11 December and the 2023 Conference: Deus Ex Machina – Law – Technology – Humanities
