What to do on a day off

Hola Amigos!

What do you like to do on your day off?

Well, for me I like to spend my free time with my friends. It’s not only about exploring beautiful places in Brisbane and the surroundings, but it is also about spending time with my friends who have become my family away from home. Well, at least for me!

During the last break, I went with my roommate to the Sea Life Aquarium in Mooloolaba.  This wasn’t only a day off, it was more like a ‘farewell’ for my roommate! She was moving to another apartment and that made me a bit sad because we have developed such a  beautiful friendship. We have shared tears, laughter and stories and I’m going to miss her a lot!  She is not moving far away though, so that’s great.

Our experience at the Sea Life Aquarium was awesome. It was great not only for the opportunity to see a diversity of sea life but also when you share these kinds of experiences it will remain in your memories forever. Oh, by the way, my favourites were the jellyfish and the penguins.

On the way to the aquarium, we stopped at the beautiful Glasshouse Mountain Lookout.   The view from here is amazing. Standing at the top of the mountain makes you feel like you are almost reaching the sky! In fact,  the view is unreal and magical!  This is a place where you can feel peace and get away from the everyday stress of work and studies.  Actually, I did a quick meditation while I was on top of the mountain, a perfect place!

Watch the video below of our exciting day out. Maybe a place you can visit on your next excursion.

My name is Cynthia and I'm from Mexico. I have a very creative personality and a passion for creating content that will make a difference. I previously completed a Bachelor of International Marketing in Mexico. I found as a marketer the need of creating content or telling a story is not only the core of marketing to attract audiences, but it is also drives everything you do. Following my passion for story telling and my fascination for theatre, I decided to fulfill my dream of study drama in Mexico. I strongly believe that it’s never too late to make your dreams come true. I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film, Screen and New Media) at QUT and my dream is to become a film-maker. In my blog, I want to share my creative personality, Latin perspective with a sense of humor.
