Agent commissions
QUT’s formal agents are entitled to claim commission on any successful enrolment that has resulted from an application made by a student through their organisation in accordance with provisions of their recruitment agreement.
Invoice requirements
To claim commission, you must submit (an) invoice(s) addressed to QUT — ensuring that you write QUT on the invoice — that includes the following:
- invoice date
- invoice number
- student’s semester of commencement
- student’s family name and given name
- student’s QUT ID number and/or date of birth
- course code
- course fee (per semester)
- course duration
- amount of commission per student
- total commission claimed
- banking details for electronic funds transfer
- supplier name, address, email and contact details
- GST (if applicable).
Commissions associated with English Language Program (ELP) Courses through QUT International College (e.g. QE05 – QE45; QC10; QC12; QC24) need to be listed on a separate invoice from non-English Language Program Degree Courses. DO NOT put ELP courses and non-ELP courses on the same invoice, even if it is for the same student.
All amounts are to be listed in Australian dollars. Please note that invoices should not be sent for applications currently in the admissions process. Please be advised that following the census date, a commission payable report will be sent out for agent review. Please issue a single corresponding invoice (in PDF format) for payment after reviewing the commission payable report.

Census Date
Please refer to QUT Student Gateway for more information on census dates (student access only).
We cannot start processing any invoices until after the course census date.
Course Fees
If you have questions regarding course fees, please check the student’s offer letter or relevant QUT Course Guide.
Commission rate
If you have questions on the commission rate, please refer to the Recruitment Services Agreement.
From 1 July, 2017 QUT has implemented a new commission structure. It is applicable to students enrolling into a new course with a census date that falls after 1 July 2017. Commission related to the census date prior to 1 July 2017 will continue to apply the commission rate previously agreed.

Bank account details/Supplier Maintenance Form
If you have not claimed commissions for a while, it would be useful for you to include a completed Supplier Maintenance form with your commission invoice.
To avoid delays in payment, please advise us with any changes to banking details immediately. This should be done by completing a new Supplier Maintenance Form and emailing it to qut.agentsupport@qut.edu.au.
Download the supplier maintenance form.
Please be advised that QUT will distribute commission payments to one bank account only. To limit the complexity of organising commission payments for all agents, the following rules to agent bank accounts apply:
- Agent comprised of head office only (no other branches) — one bank account only
- Agent comprised of head office plus one or more branches in the same country — one bank account only
- An agent with one or more branches in other countries — one bank account in each country is allowed.
Journey planner
For students who don’t meet the English requirements for their chosen degree course, QUT’s Journey Planner is available to help you calculate the best commencement dates for the pathway programs required for entry into the chosen degree course.
To get started, download the QUT Journey Planner. (The file must be downloaded to your computer). After downloading, double click on the file and click “enable content” in Microsoft Word and then double click START. Here’s a helpful video on how to use QUT’s Journey Planner.
