Higher degree research applications moved online to the QUT Application Portal on 17 August 2020, utilising the StudyLink software.
From 13 August, we will no longer accept the current FR form for international HDR applications.
The new online application portal offers a number of improvements to QUT agents, including a refined application process and the ability to track application status.
The new system sees the introduction of a two-part application process for commencing students. First, HDR applicants will submit an expression of interest. Once assessed, successful HDR applicants will then be invited to finalise their application. Our new How to apply – Research website is now updated with all details for the new process.
The closing date for this year’s HDR Annual Scholarship Round is extended until 30 October. To ensure consideration in the annual scholarship round, the first part of the application, the expression of interest, must be submitted by 20 September 2020.
HDR students who are invited to finalise their application will then have until 30 October 2020 to submit. QUT’s agents can have a three-day extension after both these dates, where the applicant has provided you with the required information on-time.
HDR students who have already applied for admission and indicated that they wish to be considered in the annual scholarship round will be automatically included.
