The Creative Industries Faculty has assisted in manufacturing thousands of face masks in less than a week using their 3D printer. The masks will be used by health care workers in Queensland to protect themselves when treating a patient with the virus.
QUT Science and Engineering Faculty alumnus, Mark Dutton, has repurposed his Supercars knowledge to designing ventilator systems for patients.
QUT researchers are also assisting in developing a vaccine for the virus by sharing their valuable research. The research explores producing vaccines in bulk at a low cost using agricultural technology.
