QUT has recently completed a review of undergraduate academic entry requirements for Vietnamese secondary schools graduates based on the performance of this cohort at QUT. We are pleased to let you know the important changes outlined below, effective immediately:
- Adjustment to Academic Entry Requirements for Students from Vietnam Gifted and Specialised Schools
QUT has adjusted academic entry requirements for secondary school graduates from Vietnamese gifted and specialised schools. For example, the new overall grade average requirement for Bachelor of Business is 7.5 (on a 10-point scale) from all Year 12 subjects instead of 8.0. The academic requirement for our faculty merit scholarships remains unchanged. Please refer to QUT website for the updated entry requirements on specific QUT courses. - Acceptance of Students from Vietnam Regular Schools for Direct Entry into QUTQUT can now accept Vietnamese secondary school graduates holding the Bang Tot Nghiep Trung Hoc Pho Tong (Upper Secondary Education Graduation Diploma)/ Secondary School Leaving Examination (SSLE) from Vietnamese regular secondary schools for direct entry into QUT undergraduate degrees. Graduates from the regular schools will be subject to the same minimum academic entry requirements for QUT courses and our faculty merit scholarships as graduates from gifted and specialised schools.
Applicants holding this qualification will still be required to meet the following conditions:
- Satisfy QUT’s English language proficiency requirements.
- Satisfy pre-requisite subject requirements except English by achieving a pass grade in the relevant subject(s) in the Bang Tot Nghiep Trung Hoc Pho Tong / Secondary School Leaving (SSLE) examinations.
For further information please check our course entry requirements on the QUT website.
We trust that you would find these changes positive and we thank you for your ongoing support. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the relevant QUT regional team below.
