QUT’s Three Minute Thesis Competition finals were held on 11 September. The presentations were the usual high calibre with fascinating topics and great speakers. John Paul Cauchi, from the Faculty of Health, won first place with his presentation about his research: ‘Climate Change, Food Security and Health in Kiribati’. John Paul will go on to represent QUT at the Asia-Pacific final at the end of the month. Edmund Pickering won the people’s choice award for his presentation: ‘Measuring mechanical properties at the nanoscale’.
