QUT English Language and Foundation/Diploma Scholarships 2018

QUT International College is pleased to offer over $500,000 worth of scholarships in 2018. We look forward to receiving your students’ applications!

  • English language scholarships are unlimited and awarded automatically on application
  • Foundation/Diploma scholarships are limited and are assessed by the QUTIC Director. Scholarships are awarded as eligible applications are received.

We are offering scholarships to eligible students who are citizens of the following countries:

China

Latin America

Colombia

Hong Kong

  • 25% off tuition fee for standard foundation program (with 1 semester advanced standing)
  • 25% off tuition fee for 1st semester diploma program – scholarship extended into semester 2 if GPA of 5 or above is achieved in semester one

Indonesia

Japan

Korea

Malaysia

Philippines

Sri Lanka

Taiwan

Thailand

Vietnam

Note: All scholarships are for the tuition fee and the amount is not refundable.

Scholarship Eligibility

25% General English, EAP 1 and EAP 2, EAP 3 scholarships:

  • awarded to eligible students automatically on application
  • minimum of 10 weeks study required for GE
  • commence in 2017/2018
  • Not available to study tour groups

Note: Students can receive this scholarship once per EAP program.

50% scholarship for EAP 1 awarded to students who:

  • meet the academic requirements for diploma
  • have a packaged offer including diploma
  • meet the progression requirements from EAP 1 into diploma
  • commence in 2017/2018

The scholarship value is credited to the student at census date of the first semester of the diploma program.

Note: Students are not eligible for the 25% EAP 1 scholarship in addition to this 50% scholarship for EAP 1.

Foundation/Diploma Scholarships:

  • meet the English requirement
  • meet the standard academic requirement (all countries excluding Hong Kong and Vietnam, China)
    • Hong Kong – HKDSE 14
    • Vietnam – year 12 with GPA 7.0 out of 10
    • China – year 12 (Senior III with GPA 80% using all final year subjects)
  • have completed most recent qualification offshore
  • Submit a personal statement: How will you benefit from studying a QUT foundation/diploma program and how do you intend to be a successful student? (maximum 500 words)
    • Taiwan – no personal statement required. Please submit a letter of recommendation from the school.

How to Apply

English language Scholarships:

There is no scholarship application. Scholarships are awarded automatically to eligible students on application. Following the offer letter from QUT admissions, agents will receive a scholarship letter from QUTIC.

Foundation/Diploma Scholarships:

  2. Email your offer letter and personal statement (or recommendation letter for Taiwan) to QUT International College (qutic@qut.edu.au) for assessment.

Note: Hong Kong students – a separate scholarship application form is required. Contact in-country manager Elsie Wong for further information.
