QUT is now offering a package opportunity for those who do not meet the subject prerequisites. The QUTIC Standard Foundation course is available to be packaged with the Bachelor of Education. Applicants who enrol in the February and July intakes of the two semester Foundation course may be eligible to start the Bachelor program in the first semester of the following year. The Foundation course meets the Bachelor of Education English language requirement as well as the subject prerequisites.

At this stage, students who have completed the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50113) may still be required to do additional studies to meet the subject prerequisites. They are still eligible for the 1 year of advanced standing towards the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) but they will still have to meet the subject prerequisites which are not covered by the Diploma course. They may wish to consider alternative options or the QUTIC Foundation course.
