Professionalism, friendliness and efficiency are the things that will stay with me after the training course on Training Programs Accreditation at QUT under the sponsorship of Au4Skills.
Our training course is divided into two phases. The first phase was held in Hanoi with the guidance of very professional instructors from QUT. We were equipped with basic knowledge on building accreditation of training through the shared experiences from instructors of QUT and other institutions. From the training course, I have acquired a lot of useful knowledge in forming the projects that need to be done for my institution. In addition to professional knowledge, I also learned a lot of things from the culture, the professional way of working, the symbolic message of the Australian kangaroo that is never going backwards, and also the delegation with the dance of indigenous Australian people, which shows the cultural respect and preservation of the Australian people’s identity.
Moreover, through the training course, a network has been formed to connect, share experiences in education quality accreditation and build training programs according to AUN-QA standards among participating institution such as Thai Nguyen University, University of Agriculture and Forestry – Thai Nguyen University, and Northwestern University, not only during the course, but also in the current and future activities of education quality accreditation.
Personally, through the program, I have been equipped with the skills and knowledge in building, evaluating and verifying education programs. When I returned to work as the Dean of the International School of Thai Nguyen University, I applied it into practice to work with the faculty and staff to renovate the training program for four school majors according to the standard of AUN-QA. Currently, the International School has been developing and accrediting one education program named International Business. Specifically, thanks to participating in the program, many staff and lecturers start to change their mind thereby helping spread the requirements for quality accreditation and building training programs, not only for the beneficiaries of the program but also the staff and lecturers of Thai Nguyen University, University of Agriculture and Forestry, Tay Bac University and International School – Thai Nguyen University.
I will never forget the wonderful times working with advisors from QUT such as Dr. Hai, Nelson, and Ralf…. I do love QUT and I hope I will have the opportunity to train at this professional environment one more time.
