I have worked in public and private sector for more than ten years advising small to medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) to sell their products in international markets, and one of the most innovative experiences that I have had professionally and academically was participating in the QUT program, Fostering Women in Trade. The tools and knowledge I learned in the classrooms and the opportunity to visit in the field and see how experts, promotion institutions, business accelerators and other strategic allies of the university work with entrepreneurs, have allowed me to now contribute on issues of innovation, develop business plans and strategies, and provide new services to SMEs led by women, cooperatives of producers and young entrepreneurs with whom I work every day and now are more prepared to face their challenges.
