Firstly, when I received the notice to travel to Australia, I was so happy because I thought that on this trip, I would have the opportunity to learn a lot about the country, its customs and especially my profession.
I must admit that in the first moments, I had to work under pressure due to language barrier (I speak Spanish). Anyway, it was a great experience too, because I remembered the English Language and I think that the people work better under pressure.
I trained at QUT for 60 days or so. These days were very important to me. Here I learned about: strategic planning, action planning, and problem solving. All these teachings focused on the association of women, ancestral communities, and the producing community.
When I came home, my principal objective was to reach out to communities, associations, citizens in general with the message of improving the quality of life with the field work and this way to get better our promotion of exportable products. I have shared my experience and learning with my work group here in Ecuador putting in practice all the teachings I received, for the wellness of my country, my professional career and my daily life.
On the governmental level, as a governor of Carchi, I applied principles of security, production, strategic alliances, public health, education and conflict resolution on issues concerning my province. We contributed in the reform and reactivation of agriculture in Carchi.
I miss the amazing places that I visited in Australia and share this experience with my family, Friends, and colleagues.
All the learning and places visited in your country were an unforgettable experience.
