Creating a Purpose-Drive Culture in the Real World

By Amalia Maulana, Indonesia

The QUT leadership program brilliantly shaped my personal brand as the thought leader and expert in branding and marketing in my country; giving me the full perspective on how to inspire others to dream more, learn more, and do more. I discovered from the facilitators and guest speakers at QUT, the life examples of leaders who know the way, go the way and show the way.

The program was a wake-up call for me personally, that to be an effective and Influential leader, it is critical to create a ‘purpose-driven culture’. Thankfully, I have gradually applied the purpose-driven dimension as part of my personal social responsibility.

During this pandemic, I believe I was better prepared to deal with the changes, with the help of the program. Prioritizing positivity in everyday life, full of empathy for employees and community- this is the real test of leader’s agility. And although it was not an ideal situation, I gained more confidence in preparing our team for the next era.
