QUT Centre for Justice was proud to co-host the Australasian Housing Researchers Conference held at QUT Kelvin Grove from 10-13 February 2026.<\/p>\n
The conference included a PhD symposium as well as three days of sessions in line with the theme,\u00a0 “Housing Justice in Turbulent Times.”<\/strong><\/p>\n The conference was opened by Mark Cridland, Director General, Department of Housing and Public Works, Queensland Government and featured keynotes<\/a> by Emeritus Professor Hal Pawson<\/strong> speaking on Housing policy in Australia:\u00a0 A critique or recent developments<\/strong> and Dr Julie Lawson<\/strong> speaking on European Housing Policy:\u00a0 a systemic and integrated approach.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The conference was chaired by Dr Lyndall Bryant<\/a>, Director of QUT Centre for Justice Housing Security Research Group.<\/a><\/p>\n 150 people attended the conference which ran over 3 days with 40+ sessions.\u00a0 QUT Centre for Justice presenters were part of the program presenting on topics such as climate and housing, housing and homelessness and social housing.\u00a0 \u00a0Guests came from Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Europe.<\/p>\n The conference brought together thought leaders, academics and industry to engage in rich discussion, debate and collaboration on the real and current issues associated with housing in Australasia.<\/p>\n Thank you to our conference sponsors:<\/p>\n Gold Sponsors:<\/strong><\/p>\n Brisbane Housing Corporation<\/a><\/p>\n QUT Design Lab<\/a><\/p>\n Housing Choices Australia<\/a><\/p>\n Queensland Department of Housing and Public Works<\/a><\/p>\n Silver Sponsor:<\/strong><\/p>\n
