QUT Centre for Justice is joining QShelter in presenting the first seminar in an ongoing series titled, 2032 Housing Legacy Seminar Series.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the first in a series designed to develop the framework for an Olympic Housing Legacy Plan for Brisbane as it prepares to host the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This framework will be used to inform organisers on how it can shape a socially inclusive housing future for Brisbane and set a global benchmark by aligning IOC sustainability goals with a proactive housing legacy plan that prioritises affordability, inclusion, and long-term community resilience.<\/p>\n

Our first seminar will spotlight the importance of an\u00a0Olympic Housing Legacy Action Plan<\/strong>, and will feature:<\/p>\n

Sarah Amos<\/strong>, Deputy Director-General, Social and Affordable Housing Growth, Department of Housing and Public Works will discuss the state government\u2019s plans in relation to housing supply in the lead up to 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.<\/p>\n

Dr Lyndall Bryant<\/strong>, Director, QUT Housing Security Research Group, will present findings from her QUT Centre for Justice Briefing Paper on \u201cHomelessness and Olympic Legacy: the good, the bad and the ugly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackson Hills<\/strong>, General Manager, Policy and Strategic Engagement Q Shelter will present the AHURI and QShelter Southeast Queensland Displacement Monitoring Report.<\/p>\n
