Series<\/strong> #QUTRealHousing<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><em>Australia is in the midst of a housing supply crisis.\u00a0 The National Housing Accord has a target of 1.2 million new homes to be built by mid-2029.\u00a0 Is this really achievable?\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><em>In this first seminar, industry and QUT housing experts will highlight Australia\u2019s housing supply challenges and discuss innovative solutions to bringing on more supply, more quickly.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><em>This event will also launch <a href=\"https:\/\/research.qut.edu.au\/centre-for-justice\/research-groups\/housing-security-research-group\/\">QUT\u2019s Housing Security Research Group<\/a> and its AHURI Research Campus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.30pm \u2013 4.30pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The event will include two keynote presentations, hearing from:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keynote 1:\u00a0 State of the Nation Housing System<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Professor Rachel ViforJ<\/em>, John Curtin Distinguished Professor and ARC Future Fellow, Curtin University and member, National Housing Supply and Affordability Council<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keynote 2:\u00a0 Queensland\u2019s Government\u2019s Housing Priorities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Danielle McAllister<\/em>, Deputy Director-General, Policy, Performance and First Nations, Department of Housing and Public Works<\/p>\n<p>Following the keynote presentation there will be a <strong>panel discussion<\/strong> featuring:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Professor Rachel
