This special issue grapples with the practicalities and politics of achieving change. The guest editors hope it points to some innovative and effective strategies for improving access to justice for women who have used force to protect themselves and often their children from further victimisation.

Guest Editorial Volume 13(4) 2024 https://doi.org/10.5204/ijcjsd.3769

The International Journal for Crime, Justice and Social Democracy is an open access, peer reviewed journal that seeks to publish critical research about common challenges confronting criminal justice systems around the world.
