Homophobic? Stoic? Here\u2019s what thousands of Australian men told us about modern\u00a0masculinity<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He also provided media commentary on this research to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/listen\/programs\/sydney-evenings\/what-is-modern-masculinity\/103800636\">ABC Evenings<\/a>, Radio 2CC, Joy Drive (Victoria), and in two further interviews on ABC radio. Flood also was interviewed on violence and pornography for recent articles in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canberratimes.com.au\/story\/8614558\/parenting-and-pornography-navigating-difficult-conversations\/\">The Canberra Times<\/a><\/em> and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/primer.com.au\/men-domestic-violence-conversation\/\">Primer<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Flood\u2019s work was profiled in QUT\u2019s \u201cReal Focus\u201d series, in the article \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.qut.edu.au\/news\/realfocus\/building-better-men\">Building Better Men<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Flood gave three presentations to practitioner audiences in the last three weeks. He spoke on \u201cEngaging men and boys in sexual violence prevention and positive masculinities\u201d at the conference <em>Working with Men to End Family, Domestic &amp; Intimate Partner Violence<\/em> (Melbourne, March 26-27), on \u201cFocusing on Perpetration: the who, how and why for prevention of gender based violence\u201d in a commissioned webinar for Women\u2019s Health in the South East (WHISE) (April 23), and on a panel at the DVConnect High Tea fundraiser (Brisbane, May 4).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; As we come to the end of the first week of Queensland Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, QUT Centre for Justice member, Professor Michael Flood, continues to gather impact in the area of violence prevention.
