Domestic violence is ultimately preventable, and education is the first step toward prevention.”

She said QUT had a number of academics and postgraduate students studying domestic violence, and welcome interest from additional students.

“Our students and academics share a critical concern with practical issues related to domestic violence and commitment to promoting social justice as a means to prevent violence and abuse,” she said.

Media contact: Niki Widdowson, QUT media, 07 3138 2999 or n.widdowson@qut.edu.au.

Reproduced from https://www.qut.edu.au/news/news?news-id=85795

A new domestic violence stand-alone course offered by QUT’s School of Justice has attracted 230 students from many disciplines and walks of life for its first semester.
