The <span data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">prize<\/span> was awarded for the best submissions received for the final assessment in the unit (a 2,000-word case study on a problem in Environmental Justice).<\/p>\n<p>Four students were shortlisted for the <span data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">prize<\/span>:\u00a0 Ella Battams; Emily Denison; Deborah Johnson; and Teisha Russell.<\/p>\n<p>The shortlisted entries were judged by Head of School Professor John Scott and <span data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">JSB255<\/span> Unit Co-ordinator Dr Dean Biron.<\/p>\n<p>The winning entries chosen were those of <strong>Emily Denison<\/strong> and <strong>Teisha Russell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You can read Emily&#8217;s paper <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.qut.edu.au\/crime-and-justice-research-centre\/files\/2022\/03\/Emily-Denison-Assessment-2-17.03.2022-1.pdf\">here<\/a>\u00a0and Teisha&#8217;s paper <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.qut.edu.au\/crime-and-justice-research-centre\/files\/2022\/03\/JSB-255-Teisha-Russell-Assessment-2-Case-Study.FINAL_-1.pdf\">here.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to all involved.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This summer, QUT School of Justice unit Environmental Crime and Climate Change (JSB255) featured the inaugural Environmental Justice Writing Prize.
