QUT Centre for Justice was pleased to host a morning tea to welcome Gina Masterton as QUT Centre for Justice and QUT Carumba Institute’s newly appointed Indigenous Australian Postdoctoral Research Fellow.\u00a0 Gina commenced on 1 November 2021 in a three year position funded by the Vice Chancellor, in recognition of Black Lives Matter.<\/p>\n

The Vice Chancellor attended morning tea and spoke of the University’s commitment to justice research, and the important role that this appointment will play in this commitment.<\/p>\n

Gina was welcomed by QUT Centre for Justice Director, Professor Melissa Bull.\u00a0 Pro Vice Chancellor, Indigenous Strategy, Angela Barney-Leitch,\u00a0 was also in attendance as well as a number of indigenous scholars from across QUT.<\/p>\n

We warmly welcome Gina and look forward to seeing the development of her research, and her involvement in indigenous engagement across the University.<\/p>\n
