Professor Kerry Carrington and Associate Professor Michael Flood from QUT Centre for Justice have been invited to the National Summit on Women’s Safety<\/strong> to be held on 29 and 30 July 2021.<\/p>\n

The summit forms part of the consultation process for for the Women’s Safety Taskforce, and will be used to shape the National Plan to reduce family, domestic and sexual violence in Australia.\u00a0 \u00a0The National Plan will commence in 2022, and will provide an updated blueprint for preventing violence against women.<\/p>\n

The summit is a limited group that will include women who have experienced violence, family safety advocates, service providers and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n

Kerry and Michael’s inclusion in the summit recognises their expertise and strong national standing in the area of domestic and family violence and its prevention.\u00a0 \u00a0We congratulate them both and know that they will make a significant contribution to the summit and the National Plan.<\/p>\n
