Some people push back, responding with criticism and hostility to education or training or to community campaigns. A new guide<\/span><a style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\" name=\"_Toc58507755\"><\/a><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"> provides practical strategies for practitioners, advocates, and educators in reducing resistance and building support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The toolkit is a collaboration between Eastern Health, the Eastern Domestic Violence Service (EDVOS), and the Queensland University of Technology. Dr Michael Flood led the guide\u2019s authors, with co-authors Josette O\u2019Donnell and Benjamin Brewer from Eastern Health and Brianna Myors from EDVOS.<\/p>\n<p>The guide identifies tools and tips at four levels:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a name=\"_Toc58507756\"><\/a> Working strategically to build support<\/li>\n<li><a name=\"_Toc58507757\"><\/a> Planning an event, training, or initiative<\/li>\n<li><a name=\"_Toc58507758\"><\/a> Running an event<\/li>\n<li><a name=\"_Toc58507759\"><\/a> Taking care of ourselves and others<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The guide can be downloaded from the Eastern Health website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternhealth.org.au\/images\/Engaging_Men-_Reducing_Resistance_and_Building_Support_final.pdf\">here<\/a>.
