We welcome Dr Lennon Chang as an invited Emerging Australian Scholar within the Southern Criminology stream at our 5th Biennial International Conference to be held on the Gold Coast from 15-17 July 2019.<\/p>\n

Lennon is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology in the School of Social Sciences. He is a co-founder and vice-chairman of the Asia Pacific Association of Technology and Society. He is the Project Director of Strengthening Cyber capacity and Raising Cyber Awareness in the Indo-Pacific Region: Australia and Myanmar. He authored \u2018Cybercrime in the Greater China Region: Regulatory Responses and Crime Prevention\u2019 (Edward Elgar, 2012). Together with Myanmar National Cyber Security Centre and Kenerllix, he initiated and founded \u201cCyberBayKin\u201d, a cyber awareness campaign in Myanmar (https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/CyberBayKin\/<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Dr Chang is interested in researching crime and governance of cyberspace \u2013 cybercrime, cyber terrorism and cyber warfare. He is particularly interested in the regulation and governance of cyberspace in the Asia-Pacific region. His professional interest in Asia continues and he is currently researching internet vigilantism in the indo-pacific region. He was also undertaking research into cybercrime and cyber-deviance in this region.<\/p>\n

Dr Chang was awarded his PhD by the Australian National University . He has a Master in Criminology and Bachelor in Law degrees from National Taipei University, Taiwan.<\/p>\n
