Students in the graduate certificate come from all areas of practice, from policing to law, child safety, counselling and domestic violence specialist services. Academics teaching into the Graduate Certificate include <a href=\"http:\/\/staff.qut.edu.au\/staff\/death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr Jodi Death<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/staff.qut.edu.au\/staff\/fergusc2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr Claire Ferguson<\/a>, Dr Claire Moran and Kara Beavis.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s1\">Rosemary O\u2019Malley,\u00a0CEO,\u00a0Domestic Violence Prevention Centre Gold Coast Inc. commented:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>&#8220;Every year DVPC acknowledges outstanding work by individuals and organisations who have gone the extra mile to improve responses and services to women, children, and young people experiencing domestic violence, and who have added to the\u00a0body of knowledge for doing all of this work better.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>So I\u2019d like to start by acknowledging the work of Dr Molly Dragiewicz<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>In the category of Furthering the Work \u2013 adding new information and knowledge category, we value your work Molly.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>We want to acknowledge your persistence and innovation in putting together and delivering the <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qut.edu.au\/study\/courses\/graduate-certificate-in-domestic-violence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s2\"><i>Graduate Certificate in Domestic Violence\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/a><i>at<\/i><\/span><span class=\"s3\"><i>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.qut.edu.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Queensland University of Technology<\/a><\/i><span class=\"s4\"><i>.<\/i><\/span><\/span><span class=\"s1\"><i> T<\/i><\/span><span class=\"s3\"><i>his specialist course is designed for frontline workers, policy developers and any professionals who come into contact with domestic violence victims or perpetrators. More recently Molly has co-authored another book entitled <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucpress.edu\/book\/9780520285750\/abusive-endings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abusive Endings: Separation and Divorce Violence against Women<\/a><i>, and currently she is undertaking new research on technology-facilitated abuse which DVPC will partner in.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s3\"><i>Molly today we celebrate the work you have done, and continue to do, to increase the knowledge and skills of such a diverse range of frontline workers on how to respond to DV, and in your new book you dive deep into getting people to think about that perennial question of \u201cwhy don\u2019t women just leave\u201d abusive relationships.
