{"id":2327,"date":"2017-02-23T11:27:49","date_gmt":"2017-02-23T01:27:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.qut.edu.au\/crime-and-justice-research-centre\/?p=2327"},"modified":"2017-02-23T11:27:49","modified_gmt":"2017-02-23T01:27:49","slug":"qps-inspector-joins-the-school-of-justice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qut.edu.au\/crime-and-justice-research-centre\/2017\/02\/23\/qps-inspector-joins-the-school-of-justice\/","title":{"rendered":"QPS Inspector joins the School of Justice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.mypolice.qld.gov.au\/assets\/images\/qpsbadge_200x200.png\" alt=\"Image result for qps\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The School of Justice\u00a0in the Faculty of Law at Queensland University of Technology would like to welcome <strong>Inspector Christopher Emzin<\/strong>, who joins the School as the first Visiting Police Associate in the university.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Inspector Christopher Emzin has been a member of the Queensland Police Service for over 30 years.\u00a0 During this time he has performed various roles including general duties, criminal investigations, prosecutions, legal &amp; policy development, internal investigations, district policing and specialist services policing namely State Water Police Coordinator.\u00a0 Inspector Emzin has routinely performed higher level duties as Acting Superintendent in a variety of roles namely: Prosecution Services,\u00a0 Flood Crisis Review Group, Counter Terrorism Strategic Policy Branch, Regional Crime Coordinator for South East Region, Gold Coast District Officer and Internal Investigations Branch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Inspector Emzin is currently an Inspector with Prosecution Coordination Unit which is responsible for the management of over 270 prosecutors located at 30 police prosecutions corps throughout Queensland.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Inspector Emzin holds a Bachelor of Laws (QUT) and Master of Laws (Griffith Uni) and is admitted as a Barrister-at-Law.
