{"id":1582,"date":"2016-06-03T09:03:57","date_gmt":"2016-06-02T23:03:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.qut.edu.au\/crime-and-justice-research-centre\/?p=1582"},"modified":"2016-06-03T09:03:57","modified_gmt":"2016-06-02T23:03:57","slug":"sex-worker-activism-in-bangladesh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qut.edu.au\/crime-and-justice-research-centre\/2016\/06\/03\/sex-worker-activism-in-bangladesh\/","title":{"rendered":"Sex worker activism in Bangladesh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/explore.tandfonline.com\/uploads\/images\/journals\/covers\/TCHS.jpg\" width=\"134\" height=\"191\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">School of Justice PhD candidate Habiba Sultana has had her paper \u2018Sex worker activism, feminist discourse and HIV in Bangladesh\u2019 re-published in the journal <em>Culture, Health and Sexuality<\/em>, as part of a special issue on \u2018Sex, Sexuality and Sex Work\u2019, edited by Dan Allman and Melissa Hope Ditmore. <!--more-->The special issue comprises \u2018the most impactful papers on sex work and prostitution\u2019 and surveys sex work in a variety of international contexts, including the global south, and reflects an increasingly global understanding of sex work.
